Recognised internationally as the most successful breeding reserve in Africa for rhino, both black and white, Solio Conservancy, is also home to eland, oryx, buffalo, lio, leopard, cheetah and a plethora of other species. It is located on the Solio Game Reserve between the majestic slopes of Mount Kenya and the Aberdare Mountains.

With just six modern and luxurious rooms, Solio Lodge will be your home for two days. The suites have extra large glass pane windows to take in the panoramic views of the landscape which is framed by Mount Kenya. Each room has a private lounge area warmed by a corner fire, as well as large bathrooms with double sink, bath and shower. The rooms are designed for warmth (Solio is high in altitude and can be cold at night), as well as outdoor living with each having a deck in front for relaxation during the day.

Exciting activities on offer here include walking and trout fishing in the Aberdare’s and Mount Kenya, helicopter flights, cycling and horse riding.

Samburu National reserve

Renowned for its large herds of elephant and the Special Five – Grevy’s Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, Beisa Oryx, Gerenuk and Somali Ostrich - Samburu Reserve offers a truly exceptional safari experience.

Activities include game walks, night drives, camel riding and Samburu cultural visits, including visits to the local markets.

You’ll stay in the majestically situated Sasaab Lodge - a Moroccan themed camp with 9 rooms, overlooking the Ewaso Nyiro River (Kenya’s third largest watercourse).

Sasaab commands breathtaking views across the arid landscape of the Northern Frontier District towards the jagged peak of Mt Kenya, and offers a truly different safari experience.

masai mara game reserve

The Masai Mara is world renowned for the Great Wildebeest migration, as well as large numbers of predators, and plains game on the open savannah.

The main activity in the Masai Mara is game drives, which take place early in the morning and late in the afternoon when the predators are most active.

Sala’s Camp merges tradition with understated luxury and has the good fortune to be located on the convergence of two rivers, and in the heart of the Masai Mara. This secluded spot offers tranquillity, and tremendous views over the Sand River towards Tanzania and the Serengeti.

From your tents you will be able to enjoy an abundance of wildlife, birdlife and the indigenous environment.

Giraffe Manor, Nairobi

With a resident herd of semi-habituated Rothschild giraffe, breakfast and tea are unique experiences at Giraffe Manor.

Located in a quiet residential area of Nairobi, the Manor has twelve en-suite luxurious bedrooms spread between two buildings. Modelled on a Scottish Hunting Lodge in 1932, the Manor has undergone extensive renovations over the years, but still retains its old world charm.

Whilst you’re here you can feed the giraffe treats through the windows, give them kisses on the terrace and watch the young ones play on the lawn. You can also visit some of the other local attractions, shops and museums - such as the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, The Karen Blixen Museum, Kazuri Beads and Matbronze Gallery.

Safari cost includes full board accommodation, drinks (excluding specialist wines & champagne), all transfers, two private charters, two scheduled flights, Flying Dr evacuation and VAT. It excludes gratuities and insurance.
