Mikey and Tanya Carr-Hartley are the fourth generations of Carr-Hartley's to live and work in the East African wild. They are carrying on their family's storied romance with Africa. Together they are the hosts and guides behind an experience of a lifetime, The Specialised Safari Company Ltd. The innate knowledge and experience that Mikey will share with you is passed down through generations of Safaris with Mike and Roy Carr-Hartley, respectively father and uncle to Mikey, who still work with us as guides adding a wealth of knowledge and experience to any safari. This knowledge and experiences are now being passed onto Sala, Tisa and Kinna, our next generation of Safari Guides.

With each safari designed to serve between 2-18 guests at a time, Specialised Safaris offers you an experience unlike any other customised and luxurious adventures into the deep wild of East Africa, led by guides whose families represent centuries of bush experience. As a family we delight in sharing the Africa we have treasured with you, on safari. Africa is a great leveler; enjoy it's natural and open space, its distinct wilderness, its tribal diversity, and its escape from everything truly artificial. Once experienced, its charm is truly rejuvenating. Every moment you are with us is hosted. We try and highlight for you with charm and sensitivity, a way to see those camouflaged creatures, listen to the silence, and enjoy being amongst a herd of elephants or on a rolling savannah crowded with game.
